Appreciation to the PSG

Dear all PSG members,

It has been a fruitful year for us in the year 2010!

First, we will like to thank all the members (parents) who had contributed their time, effort and money, in helping PSG with all the activities that were organized for the school, especially the consecutive activities in the month of September 2010 like mooncake festival, Children's day, Teachers' day, breakfast with Principal etc.

Next, we also like to thank those parents who had volunteered their help in the contact times, LSP, library and the P6 magazines.

We do not foresee any more work for us during the holidays and we hope all members who are taking a break with your kids during the holidays have an enjoyable trip. For those who are not travelling, spend more time with the kids and enjoy with them during their growing up stage.

For the year 2011, we still need members to help out in contact times, LSP, library and P6 magazines. If you are interested to help in any of these area, please email us and we will link you up with the committee in-charge.

Also we are actively looking for parents whose kids are in Ai Tong or going to Ai Tong next year to join us as PSG members, If you know of anyone of them who is yet to be a member, please encourage them to join us via our website, click on "Join Us", and fill up the online form.

Festival Celebrations

The month Sep 10 is going to be a busy month for PSG as we will be involved in various events of the school. The list of events is as followed:

As PSG is involved in the planning for the above events, we will need more parents to come forward to volunteer their services. As such, PSG is holding a briefing session for all PSG parents on 4 Sep 2010, 10am, at Ai Tong School AV Theatre (next to the library). Hope to see as many parents turn up for this briefing as possible. If you need to contact us, please email to events@aitongpsg.org.

As PSG is a self funded interest group, we rely on fund raising activities and contributions by generous donors to support our various activities. Should you wish to make any monetary contributions to help our cause, please contact our Vice-Chairman cum Treasurer, Lim Chong Huat, at 97668933 or our Event Committee, Karen, at 97348819. We thank you in advance for your kind generosity*.

Volunteer for Contact Time
(Wednesdays from 12.15-1.30pm)

Dear all PSG members,

Please be informed that we are currently experiencing shortage of support and would like to seek your assistance for Contact Time.

This entails providing support to care for lower primary students on Wednesdays from 12.15-1.30pm, during which the school teachers have regular weekly meetings. Majority of the students would have signed up for enrichment program with external vendor contracted by the school. However, PSG support will be required for the minority students who did not sign up for the enrichment program (approximately 9 students at the moment). During this time, the PSG members will spend time with these children at the library, assisted by librarians on duty.

PL Parents' Conference

Dear Parents/Friends,

PLMGS(Sec) is pleased to once again bring to you the PL Parents' Conference on 27th Mar 2010, 2-6pm. This is the second of a series of three which started in 2009.

The PL Parents'Conference series is an initiative by PLMGS (Sec) to address and tackle the challenges and issues faced by parents today.. PLMGS (Sec) is committed to assist parents in their parenting role and in so doing, contribute to the nation's effort in establishing strong and healthy families in our society. We have brought together the various experts to share and impart their insights, experiences and knowldege to you. A goodie bag worth more than $60 will be given to the first 500 participants! Refreshments will also be provided.

Chinese New Year Gathering

For all who have responded, thank you for your interest in participating at the coming Chinese New Year gathering.  Based on the turn up rate and the cost involved (catering, lucky draws, etc), the PSG committee has worked out the fees required for the event, which is $60 per family. Additional contribution is most welcomed. 

Events of the day include buffet lunch, lucky draws and of course not forgetting the objective of the event which is to mingle amongst ourselves & with the teachers.  On top of that, a big thank you to Mr Goh who has generously sponsored the lion dance troupe for the event.  This will be our PSG first lion & dragon dance performance!
